For the beginning dog or handler, there is an arena and round pen. I have a variety of sheep to suit the dogs level of training. My sheep consist of 2 separate flocks. One flock is mostly North Country Cheviots and the other consists of Dorper crosses. I have been successful on the trial field with many different types of Border Collies and I realize that they all need to be trained and handled differently. Dogs that I have trained go on to run at Open level with me or are sold to clients who go on to trial with them or use them for farm work.
		TRAINING PHILOSOPHY I base my training philosophy on using kind, consistent methods. My training methods are modified to suit individual dogs, without applying undue pressure, and detracting from their natural ability. Teaching students the techniques and skills required to get the most out of their dogs has been rewarding for me. Watching their progress and helping them build the confidence necessary to compete with their dogs, gives me great personal satisfaction.
